Park Soo-hwan,(박수환) the CEO of the PR agency News Communications, was grilled by prosecutors until the early hours this morning, in connection to suspected corruption and accounting fraud by Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering.
Prosecutors are investigating whether Daewoo's former CEO Nam Sang-tae (남상태) lobbied politicians and government officials to extend his term.
They questioned Park to determine if she was involved -- she had signed a contract worth some 2 billion won with Daewoo back in 2008.
She has reportedly denied most of the allegations.
Prosecutors are reviewing whether to seek an arrest warrant for her based on their evidence. ■
