Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe continues to call for South Korea to keep promises between states.
According to Kyodo News, Abe made the remarks Monday when asked about worsening ties between Seoul and Tokyo at a press conference after a Group of Seven summit in France.
He reportedly said Japan is in a situation where steps taken by South Korea will hurt their mutual trust.
In regards to North Korea's nuclear issue, the prime minister said it was part of the agenda discussed by participating G7 leaders and that Japan will support U.S.-North Korea negotiations on the regime's denuclearization.■
