Twenty-eight people have died in an attack on a bus in northeast Kenya Saturday.
The identity of the attackers is not yet known.
The Kenyan Ministry of Interior tweeted the news shortly after the attack, and it was confirmed by a police spokesman.
The National Disaster Operations Center tweeted that the attack happened about 30 kilometers from the town of Mandera.
The region has been a flashpoint over the past year as fighting between clans has displaced hundreds.■
