In this week's look at the local box office, the British war drama "Darkest Hour" is now showing in cinemas.
Our movie critic Jason Bechervaise gives us more details in this report.

With the awards season now in full swing, films generating Oscar buzz are set to be released over the next few weeks in what is a common strategy adopted by the local distributors to capitalize on the extra publicity.
The first such title to be released in 2018 was Joe Wright's World War Two drama "Darkest Hour" starring Gary Oldman as the former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill in the early years of the war when the Nazis were gaining more ground in Europe.
The film that is now showing in cinemas is widely expected to a land nomination for Gary Oldman in the Best Actor category, while other nominations are also possible.
Another title that is expected to receive multiple academy award nominations when they are announced on January 23 is Guillermo del Toro's fantasy horror film "The Shape of Water" that is released in Korea on February 22.
Coming in March is Martin McDonagh's dark comedy "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" starring Frances McDormand who is one of the favorites to win the Best Actress Academy Award.
A month later in April, Greta Gerwig's comedy "Lady Bird" is expected to be released locally, while two other titles looking to secure Oscar nominations, Christopher Nolan's "Dunkirk" and Jordan Peele's "Get Out" were released in Korea in 2017.
