Young actor Ryu Jun-yeol has been demonstrating a great deal of promise, reflected in the number of films he has been recently involved in.
Last year, he starred in two box office hits: "Little Forest" and "Believer," while he played a notable role in the smash hit "A Taxi Driver" in 2017
Illustrating his star power, producers are keen to give him bigger leading roles with the actor playing a sizable part in Han Jun-hee's "Hit-and-Run Squad" or <뺑반>.
The film also stars Kong Hyo-jin and Jo Jung-suk.
Playing a talented officer in the hit-and-run squad trying to take down an unscrupulous racer, it's perhaps a more demanding role than many of his other parts, not least given the film's car chases.
The film opened strongly on Wednesday with 250,000 admissions, underscoring his draw at the box office, though the film was forced to open in second place as "Extreme Job" continues to dominate the chart.
