The number of Suneung or CSAT test-takers who achieved a perfect score on the English and Mathematics sections of the exam has risen sharply compared to last year.
3.37 percent of test-takers scored perfectly on the English portion, while 4.3 percent scored perfectly on the Mathematics B portion of the exam.
Meanwhile, only 0.09 percent managed to score perfectly on the Korean Language B section, the lowest level since 2011.
With the number of perfect scores in the English and Mathematics B sections so high, more emphasis is expected to be placed on the Korean Language and Science sections of the exam to determine college acceptances.
Students are scheduled to receive their scores tomorrow. ■
