The Korea Baseball Organization has decided to take greater precautions against fine dust for the safety of its players and spectators.
The league and 10 professional teams announced today that this year, games could be cancelled if fine dust warnings are in place, and readings exceed bad levels for at least two straight hours.
KBO officials will decide whether or not to cancel a game at least an hour prior to start time, after consulting with the district's weather agency and the teams' managers.
The league also plans to consider cancelling games for severe weather situations including strong winds, heat waves, or dust storms.■
