Attendance at local ball games was down this month amid the MERS scare.
Figures from the KBO shows the average attendance was just over 8,200 people per game in June.
The figure is down sharply from nearly 13,000 in May.
On-year, the Doosan Bears saw their June attendance drop 15 percent while the Twins took an 11 percent fall.
The four-time defending champions, Samsung Lions, had their attendance fall by 14 percent from a year ago.■
