Major League Baseball has announced that the Pittsburgh Pirates have won the bidding for posted KBO shortstop Kang Jung-ho.
The bid was reported to be more than 5 million dollars, making it the second highest ever for a Korean player, behind only Ryu Hyun-jin's 26 million.
The Pirates will have exclusive rights to negotiate a contract with Kang for 30 days.■
