A parliamentary report says the country's illegal gambling industry has grown by more than 20 trillion won over the past five years.
According to the report by the National Assembly Budget Office, the size of the industry soared from 53 trillion won in 2008 to 75 trillion won this year.
By sector, horse racing earned more than 7.7 trillion won, followed by the lottery and track cycling, respectively.■
