Prosecutors are tracing money from Samsung Electronics that was allegedly funneled to Choi Soon-sil through a suspected paper company set up in Germany.
Investigators said they found some evidence that showed Choi received about 3.5 billion won from Samsung late last year, which had been sent to Core (코레) Sports, the former name of Choi's company Widec Sports.
Samsung said they are fully cooperating with the investigation.■
