Prosecutors say they now have evidence that shows Choi Soon-sil received three million dollars from Samsung last year, through a suspected paper company.
They say the company, Widec Sports, was established by Choi and her daughter, Chung Yoo-ra in Germany.
The funds were wired to the company from Samsung Group in Korea last year, under the guise of payment on a consulting contract.
The money, however, is believed to have been used to pay for Chung Yoo-ra's equestrian fees, including the purchase of a horse.■
