The daughter of fugitive Sewol owner, Yoo Byung-eun, has been denied bail by an appeals court in France.
Yoo Som-na was arrested last month in Paris under an international warrant on possible charges of criminal negligence and embezzling some 50 billion won.
The judge rejected her bail request, deeming her a flight risk and noting that her brother, who also lived in France, disappeared in April.
Yoo faces possible extradition back to Korea, however her lawyer says they would fight the order, if necessary.■
