President Moon Jae-in's approval rating has jumped 8 percent this week compared to two weeks ago amid a brief hiatus of provocations by North Korea.
A Gallup Korea survey on 1,005 adults nationwide from Tuesday to Thursday shows support at 73 percent, marking the highest in five weeks.
The weekly survey was skipped last week due to Chuseok holiday.
His disapproval rating fell by 7 percentage points to 19 percent.
The survey had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.■
