Korea's state-run trade investment agency and the local retail chain Homeplus have joined forces to hold a series of Korean food exhibitions in Britain, in an effort to fuel demand for Korean dishes and ingredients.
The Taste of Korea events taking place at 62 Tesco stores will run through December 2nd and showcase some 20 different types of Korean food, including sauce for bulgogi, a grilled marinated beef dish, gochujang and seasoned laver.
Of the Tesco stores, 10 will provide visitors with the chance to taste such foods as bibimpbap and kimchi.
KOTRA says some 18 local companies will showcase their products.■
