≡ US, N. Korean Envoys Continue Pre-Summit Talks In Hanoi
Special envoys of the United States and North Korea are continuing their working-level talks in Hanoi ahead of the pending summit between their leaders next week.
North Korea's top negotiator Kim Hyok-chol and his entourage visited a hotel where U.S. nuclear envoy Stephen Biegun is staying at around 8:50 a.m. local time.
The North's delegation spent hours at the same venue for the last two days, most likely for summit preparation talks with their U.S. counterparts.
Though it remains unknown what they are discussing, their focus is expected to be on hammering out details for the North's denuclearization roadmap.
Washington and Pyongyang have yet to officially agree on actual steps towards the North's nuclear disarmament as well as corresponding measures by the United States.■
