An upcoming play will explore multiculturalism in Korean society.
It revolves around an old Korean woman dubbed 'Texas Gomo,' which is also the play's title.
The word 'gomo' means aunt in Korean.
She finds herself back in her hometown 36 years after getting married to an American soldier with a dream of escaping from poverty.
She runs into a 19-year-old girl from Kyrgyzstan who got married to a Korean man in his 60s with her own version of a dream to live a better life.
The play sheds light on the lives of the ever-increasing number of female marriage migrants and multicultural families in the country.
The play will be staged at the Baik-Chang Theater from November 2nd to 25th.

In other news, the National Palace Museum of Korea is hosting a special exhibition on Sejo, the seventh king of the Joseon Dynasty.
The museum has put on public display for the first time the only remaining portrait of the king.
The meticulously detailed sketch, though obviously incomplete, is one of the few royal portraits of the Joseon Dynasty that survived multiple wars and a massive fire in 1954 that destroyed most of them.
The exhibit will run until January 13th.
